March 2008
Tuesday, March 25, 2008 On Thursday, March 20, Sean and I went to Montgomery to pick up my dress for Melissa's wedding this July. While we were there, we stopped in A&W to get their amazing draft root beer. If you have an A&W anywhere near you, get their draft root beer; it is the most amazing soda ever. It's a good thing that their A&W is a combo with KFC because they don't have anything on their menu that I eat. KFC didn't have anything either until they came out with their boneless wings. Apparently the A&Ws near my parents are combined with Long John Silvers, and that's even better to me. Not that I'm going there very often anyway since it's a good hour and 45 minutes away. On the way back home, we decided to stop at a store in Troy. We followed an SUV into the parking lot. They stopped, so we stopped quite a ways back from them, probably about a car length. Then they started to slowly back up, we figured to be able to angle into a parking space. Then they picked up speed. Sean hit the horn and tried to throw the car into reverse, but there was no way of avoiding being hit. So the guy claimed he didn't see us. Apparently he doesn't check behind him at all whenever he wants to reverse because we were there the entire time, sitting at a dead stop, waiting for him to move. Good thing there wasn't someone walking anywhere behind his vehicle because he would have ran them over! People just don't know how to drive at all. He ended up taking some paint off of the front of our car, and he hit us hard enough to have the front bubble out by the passenger side headlight. Now we're waiting on the insurance company. The other guy's insurance is paying because he was the idiot who decided to slam into us. On Tuesday, March 18, Sean and I went to our Best Buy for the first time. They opened on March 6, but we hadn't had a chance to go there. Of course we ended up buying something. At first be bought Call of Duty 4 for the XBox360. The girl ringing us up had to see Sean's ID. We'll never stopped being carded. Then we got home and double checked online to see if it had co-op, which it didn't. The package was confusing since it said 1-4 players, they should really specify. Then we went back up there and swapped it for Army of Two on the PS3. That game is so fun! We played it for about 4 hours. Then last night, our PS3 decided it wanted to act up. First it froze. Then it made a grinding noise when it restarted. Then it wouldn't recognize that there was a disc. Then whenever we got any disc to read, it would freeze. Then we couldn't quit the game without ejecting it. We tried calling Sony but we ended up having a message saying they couldn't take our call. So I got the pleasure of calling them today. First time I called, they couldn't take the call. Then I opted to go back to the main menu and try again and I had to wait 15 minutes to speak with someone. He had me put it back to original settings and update it. Of course then I did all that and had to call them back because I knew that wasn't going to help. I popped Resistance in and it played for the few minutes I tested it, but then when I tried to quit the game, it froze. I called Sony back and waited another 15 minutes and they're sending a box so they can fix it. Sean and I are pretty mad since we didn't have to buy Army of Two for the PS3 and could have gotten it on the 360. Now we can't play it. Plus I lost my save since the PS3 F*ed up. I had bought the weapons I wanted and had them maxed out and had a bunch of money to purchase more weapons if I wanted. That and we were about 5 hours or so in. At least our PS3 decided to show us it was messed up while it was still under warranty. This now means that both our 360 and PS3 had to be sent in to be fixed since our 360 had the red ring of death back in November. Oh, and on March 20, I had to go to Panama City to help out with their inventory. One of the girls there told me I looked like I was 16 or 17. I guess that's why I'm not old enough to buy video games and R-rated movies. Yet, Olive Garden will offer us wine samples. We can usually drink, but we can't buy anything with mature/adult content. Wouldn't want to see any violence or anything. Oh well... Archives |
