  February 2008

Tuesday, February 26, 2008

I've finally changed my layout. I've also made few site changes; the main one being that my blog is now on the main page. Now if only I had the patience to sit down and set up comments. Oh well, I'm just glad I've done this much. For a while I had thought about just abandoning my site altogether and not renewing it. Now I'm thinking I may want to hang onto it so I have a place to store all of my pictures for my family. I'll have to price things to decide what I want to do.

After years of my saying I didn't want kids, I believe I want one. Sean and I have talked about it for a while and have decided that we are going to try starting in February of 2009. We want to wait until then to make sure we have gotten set up financially. Not that we couldn't afford to have a child right now, but it would be a little bit rougher. I'd like to have the house and everything set up the just the way we want it before we have to stop using money on things and start using it on a child. We even have names picked out since I told Sean we couldn't have a child until we had names. For a boy, Ethan Alexander. For a girl, Nicole Marie. Unfortunately our boy would end up being EAR due to the last name, but we love the name way too much to change it just because he's EAR. Besides, middle names are rarely used.

I'm not sure when I'm planning on telling my parents or family that we're planning on having a child. We've already told Sean's parents, but that is only because they live by us. I don't think I want to call my mom and say "guess what". I'm thinking I'll wait until I go back in July for my friend Melissa's wedding to tell them in person. It's not like I'm already pregnant, so I don't really see any reason to hurry with telling them we're going to try next year. The only way anyone will find out before July is if my sister happens to come to my site and read up on me, which she has done in the past. If she does, then Hi Chrissy! Don't tell anyone since I'm planning on saying something in July!

Sean and I have made another purchase. Nothing like new house, new car, but it is a car. His dad's friend knows someone who had a '66 Mustang in decent condition. Sean figured he was going to have to talk me into it, but since it's not that much money and we'll never come across a deal like this again, I said yes the first time he asked. It's been sitting in one spot for about 7 years, so it'll cost us about $100 to get it running again. It's in pretty good condition and won't take much to get it the way we want it. We're going to go with orange exterior and black interior. It's got silver blue interior right now, but it needs work and black would be a whole lot cheaper and easier to do. I love that silver blue though. I may change my mind on Saturday when we go to pick it up. Silver blue is just so beautiful and not too many people have it any more.

I've started exercising and watching what I eat. I've gotten to the point where I'm just not happy with my size and need to make some changes. I've noticed my work pants a little more snug than they used to be, and I told myself a long time again that I wouldn't go past a certain size pant. I would like to back to at least a 12 seeing as that's the largest size some stores carry. That's only one size, so I don't think it will be too hard to get to. I just have to make time every day to exercise and make sure I keep up with it. I'm pretty lazy when it comes to doing certain things, so I'm hoping that I have enough drive to do it. I'd like to lose a little bit of weight before I go back for the wedding in July. Plus if I have a child, I don't want to be big before I even get pregnant. That's when I will definitely have to change my eating habits and exercise like crazy.
