Sean and I went out to eat for lunch with his parents at La Bamba. It's the first time I've ever eaten there, and it turned out to be pretty good. It's my least favorite out of it, Old Mexico, and Mexican Connection. It's a minute down the road from us though. I'm waiting for the new Old Mexico to open since it'll be just as close and it's my favorite. There's also talk of a Chinese Buffet being built near us. I'd love it if that happened. They have the best rice and some really good chicken. Maybe the talk of the WalMart being built near us will actually happen. I'd love to have everything that close so that we can just avoid the other end of town since traffic is horrible over there.

Our 3 year wedding anniversary is tomorrow. We both have to close, so we won't be doing anything tomorrow. We will be staying up until midnight or so, so we can see Mars since it'll be so close and will look like a second moon. We're planning on going out to lunch and seeing the movie Ratatouille. I don't think we had any other plans though. I actually need to run up to the mall today so I can get Sean's card. I was very aware of our anniversary but it never actually came to my attention that I needed to get a card. I'm crazy. I didn't actually think about a card until yesterday. It probably wouldn't have been too good if Sean gave me a card but I didn't give him one. I need to stop by PetSmart and see if they have the Liquid Oral Care for Kitty. I guess I should go ahead and do that now...

I can't believe it's been so long since I last decided to write. I thought I had done so sometime in July, but it turns out that I didn't. So much has happened, so it's kind of hard for me to find a place to begin. Plus I usually go on and on, but now I have even more to go on about.

Sean and I bought a new house. I love it. We weren't sure we were going to get appoved for the loan since the lady was asking for a little bit more than we expected, but it all worked out. She actually moved to one of the New England states before we closed on the house, and she had her father doing the closing paperwork. This lady owned a lot of stuff, and she didn't hire a moving crew. Instead, she had her parents move her. The day we closed on the house, Sean and I were planning on moving stuff over all afternoon and evening. Her dad said they had just a few things left to get out of the house. This was way beyond an understatement. They had the living room, kithen, and master bedroom packed, and quite a bit of stuff in the garage. Sean's parents went over and helped them pack things in boxes to get them out of there. The house was ours the second we signed the closing papers and these idiotic people didn't seem to think they were supposed to be completely out by then. I'll have to post the pictures of the kitchen and dining room area. We closed on the house at 2pm and got them out of the house at 11:30pm. Their little trailer was packed full. They lost some things off of it on the way home, and I was happy to hear that. They deserved a lot more than that. Plus they ruined out two bathroom doors by deciding that it was a good idea to take all the towel racks off of the walls and move them to the back of the doors before we moved in. I was so mad that I cried. Plus they took one of the towel racks and put it on the inside wall of the shower/tub in the guest bath. I know we could have fought and gotten money out of them for damaging the doors and shower walls after it was no longer their daughter's house, but that would have been such a hassle and cost money to to get money. And I don't know if it was her or her parents, but the carpets are pretty dirty and some are stained. We'll eventually replace these things. The carpet would have been replaced anyway seeing as it isn't soft at all. All I have to say is that I wish bad things for them. I love my house though.

We closed on the house the day before I flew back to IL for my friend Jenny's wedding. I had fun seeing everyone again. My mom sent me the pictures from the wedding, but I'll have to see if there's any way to get it on a cd since I don't have scanner. I guess I'll just have to post the pictures I had my dad take with my digital camera. I really only have the one where I was walking down the aisle with the guy, and then one of the girls I went to school with and our garters which didn't turn out so well since it was so dark at the reception. My sister was nice and did my hair and makeup. She curled my hair and I wish it was like that all the time. I've actually been thinking about getting some type of perm since my hair has been straight my whole life. I want some big cute curls though. I'm also looking into a digital perm. I'm not sure if anyone in the area does a digital perm though. It'd be a little while before I decide to that though. Ok, back to the wedding.. My friend Melissa and her mom told me that the way my hair was done made me look younger. I guess this was true seeing as I got carded whenever I was trying to get a drink at the wedding. Of course I didn't have my ID on me so I had to have my parents get my drinks the whole night. I drank Captain Morgan and Coke all night since it was one of the free drinks and it was a lot more Coke than Captain. I didn't even drink enough to notice, which is just the way I like it. I don't even plan on being drunk, and I've never even had a buzz. That's not my reason for drinking. I just like the way drinks taste. I had a pretty good time at the wedding. The reception was a little boring for me since I don't like to dance, Sean wasn't there, and everyone else was there with their guys. I think that's how it's going to end up next July at Melissa's wedding too. That's alright though. Plus I have more vaction and personal time off than I thought, so I may be able to visit with my family for a little bit longer.

I've got a new person hired and trained at work, so I should be set until they get out of college and go on to do things with their degrees. I should have another year before I have to worry about that though. It's so hard to find good help. Out of 4 people I hired, I had to fire 3 of them. The other one left to go to Florida to take care of her grandma. I'm not sure why people do the things they do. They're not going to do too well if they list my store as a reference. I do need to find some people to interview though since I'm supposed to do three a month. I haven't even had any applications decent enough to call in for an interview even though I'm not going to hire them. I guess I could call them up anyway. I'm always interested in seeing how people dress for interviews and how they behave. I don't know how some people ever get a job.
