June 2007
Monday, June 4, 2007 |Time| 8:51 PM |Sound| "Inside Out", "Rescue", "On the Roof Again" Eve6 |Habit| not reading.. |Feel| tired |Think| I need to finish my book I'm still reading my book I got for Christmas. In my defense, I didn't start it until sometime in February. Ok, that just makes it sound like I don't like to read. I love my Dean Koontz books! I believe the name of it is Brother Odd. (I'm only kidding. That's the name.) It's the third book in the Odd Thomas story. The first one was great and it even made me cry! I love his latest books. I have a few from the earlier days, and I can't say I'm a fan. Mid 90's and on though, yay! Plus he's right on schedule for me. I get a book for my birthday and then one for Christmas. Good thing they're 6 months apart! I'll never get over the fact that he's producing books, of great quality, every 6 months. So yeah, I really need to finish this book before I get my new one sometime around June 11. As soon as I'm done here, I'm going to go read some. I read two chapters last night! I'm horrible. I used to finish books within just a few days. I'm still not really in a gaming mood, but RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 has gotten my attention again and designing coasters is too fun to just pass up on. I blame Sean since he recently bought SimGolf. Sean and I went and saw Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End Saturday afternoon. We went to a 4:30 showing and that's quite odd for us. It's only because I had the day off and Sean didn't get home until about 1pm. Then we went over to his parent's house and went to their neighbor's house to see the setup for it. We're really wanting to buy this house. The lady isn't 100% yet since everything with transfering jobs and all isn't quite staightened out. Within a week though, she's going to know and then we can find out what she's going to ask for the house. I'm hoping it's under or even at a number we have in mind. If it is, then I just hope everything will go smoothly with getting a home loan and all. I haven't mentioned it to anyone yet. I'm waiting until we know for sure that we can get it. Sean and I love our house, but we'd love to spend the rest of our lives living in the one she has. I just don't want to get my hopes up too high because things don't always happen the way I'd like them to. I'm keeping my fingers crossed! Anyway, I loved the movie but Sean only thought it was good. He said he wasn't sure he could sit down and watch it all the way through again. Oh well, I wasn't disappointed at all with it. Work is going pretty well. The one week in May that I got called in on my day off turned out nicely. Not only did I get called in on Tuesday, but then again on Wednesday. Then my part time manager took my Thursday shift so I could have one day off that week, but I ended up having to go in and close that night! If we had known that, then I would have just kept my opening shift. I ended up working 11 days straight. I wouldn't have minded working with no days off if I had known in advance. Suddenly being called mid-day for three days was not too fun. I'm good though; I answer my phone and go in when needed. It's part of the job. I won't be able to go in June 10th because I'll be in Destin with Sean. He's taking me shopping for my birthday. I'm just telling his parents that I want a gift card to New York and Company for my birthday. His mom probably won't be to please with that, but I don't really have anything decently priced that I might want. All of that went to my mom. My list to her was a custom fit sunscreen for the RX-8's windshield, Indiana Jones trilogy, Trigun Maximum 5" Mini PVC Figure Statues Set of 6, The Good Guy by Dean Koontz, and gift cards to Olive Garden. I'm going to go read now. Archives |
