RX-8? Yep! We went up to the lot Saturday morning at 9am. The guy pulled the car up, Sean drove it, then we got started on figuring out what they were going to price the car at and what they were going to give us on the trade-in. The guy came back to us with the exact range for what we wanted out of the Cougar, he did the same discount on the RX-8 that the other dealership was offering, and we got started on running the paperwork through. The car had 37 miles on it when we signed the papers, and we drove out of there at about noon. Whenever we get our oil changed there, they're going to detail the car. This of course means that we won't have to wash it that week. I have to say that we washed it Sunday since it had some dust on it from sitting in the lot. We drove around quite a bit and ended up doing some touch-up cleaning later that day. We're going to baby the hell out of that car. I love driving it; this coming from a person that doesn't really like to drive. It seems like I get places quicker when I'm driving. I thought maybe it was just the fact I was driving the car and that's just how it felt, but Sean thinks we get places faster when I'm driving too. I find that odd. I'm not driving any faster than he is, and if anything I might be going slightly slower. Anyway, I love it, I love it, I love it!

Sunday evening, Sean and I went to the movies with a girl he works with, Heather, and her friend. We went and saw Redline; not because we wanted to see it, but because Heather did. I was expecting it to be more of a Fast & the Furious sort of thing with street cars which had been modified. Instead it was a bunch of extremely expensive cars which you had no idea what they were and are never going to actually see in real life. The dialoge/movie was as expected, not good. Oh well.

I finally got around to fixing a pair of dress pants I own. The bottom hem on one leg had completely come out and needed to be resewn. Looking at the other leg, I realized why it came undone. They were barely even sewn. I went ahead and went over the other side too since I figured it would come out and I wouldn't want to have to hand sew my pants twice. It took me about an hour and half to two hours to fix them. It sounds really long, but for what I was doing, it wasn't. They had done it so that there was no seam on the outside, so you had to just barely do it. I can't wait to finally wear them again.

I'm completely past my last entry rant. I was pretty well fine after I got that out of my system; I just needed to vent. I also went back and took out my cursing...

|Think| I want an RX-8

Sean and I are planning on buying an RX-8 on Saturday. We've been planning on buying a new car for a while now, and it's about to happen. I told Sean that he could get his car first and then we finished paying on it, then I would get a car. He's been back and forth between a few cars and then came across the Pontiac G5 in the GT model. It's a great car and it comes at a great price. Of course we were still looking around and kept coming across some good deals. Yesterday we went out to some car lots to check a few out. One lot had finally gotten an automatic Mini Cooper in, and we were waiting to see how one drove since we don't do manual. It is a nice driving car, but I'm past the stage of wanting a little car. It was a nice yellow and reasonably priced at $19,000. While on that same lot, we came across a nice little Mercedes C-Class Kompressor nicely at $27,000. It of course was very nice to drive as well. It's not really our style, but it'd be sweet to be able to say we own it. We then headed over to the Mazda lot where Sean discovered a MX-5 Miata in a beautiful gray. Oddly they put the ugliest color in the interior. They call it tan, I call it a horrible light brown. It was aweful! Why in the world would you put "tan" in a gray car? Anyway.. We went there to check out the Mazda3 and Mazda6. I've been dreaming about the RX-8 since it came out but decided it wouldn't be a car to own because the whole oil thing seemed like a pain. I've been seeing them around and can't convince myself that I don't want it. They had one automatic in black on the lot and it was on a special promotion for only $22,000. The cheapest you can even build is $27,000. I test drove it and decided it's definitely the car I want. That dealership gave us a joke offer on trading in the '99 Cougar. Sean called a dealer in a nearby town and asked if they had any on hand. They have a Galaxy Gray Mica, the color I'd want most. The guy told Sean to just ignore the dealer here and that he wouldn't waste his time and would give him what he wanted. We're going up there Saturday morning, and I hope we'll be driving home in the RX-8. Since it's the car I wanted, Sean now has to wait to get his car.

|Think| I want to go back to the par 3

I bought a set of golf clubs on Friday. They're so pretty! This is the set I got, but unfortunately they weren't on sale the day I got them. It's only $20, but still, I bought them and they went on sale like the next day. Anyway, Sean and I went out to a par 3 on Sunday morning, and I used my clubs for the first time. I like them a lot. I just need to get a little bit better with my swing. I'd like to make contact with the ball on every swing sometime soon. I had some good hits, and the last hole (we only played 9) ended up being my best hit. Sean tried out my 8 on that hole and had a great shot, though it wasn't as good as his pin shot on the 8th. Anyway, I want to go golfing again. I'm hooked at the moment. Maybe I'll get back around to being a bowling mood... my poor abandoned ball...

Sean and I went and saw TMNT on Friday. It was good movie. They picked great people to do the voices, except for Splinter's; he just didn't sound right. I'd love to see another Turtles movie come out, but I'm not sure they'll end up doing any more. Sunday we went and saw Meet the Robinsons. I loved the villian; he was just one of the best villians ever. Plus I got the see the dinosaur on the big screen! He's just so cute! I had gotten to the point that I'd start getting watery eyes whenever I saw the commercial with him in it. "Why aren't you seizing the boy?" "I have a big head, and little arms." And he's got the funny look on his face and is all waving his arms. I love Disney sometimes. I'm going to be seeing quite a few movies for the rest of this year. They are just so many coming out: Spider-man 3, Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Live Free or Die Hard, 28 Weeks Later, Lucky You, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, Ocean's 13, The Simpsons Movie, Hitman, Bee Movie, National Treasure: Book of Secrets. Plus there are some others which could end up being good.

I have a split shift today. I don't really want to go back to work. I'm a little tired and would rather just stay home. I guess at least I only have to go back and work for just a little over an hour. It should mean that I can get off early on Thursday now. Maybe I can go golfing on Sunday...
