November 2006
Thursday, November 23, 2006 |Time| 6:49 AM |Sound| heater running |Habit| waking up and not being able to fall back asleep |Feel| tired and my throat hurts |Think| I hope Sean gets some sleep I've pretty well been awake since 5:30 this morning. I woke up with my nose kind of runny, my throat feeling clogged, and of course having to go to the bathroom. I hate getting out of bed that late in the morning because it's always so hard to fall back asleep. I tried to just fall back asleep, but or course I couldn't so I got up and then went back to bed. I finally decided to get up at about 6:30. Sean barely woke up as I was to the door but he probably figured I was getting a drink since I tend to do that quite often. Here I was sleeping straight through the night for about the past week, but then I had to go and wake up early this morning. Leave it to me to get sick right before Thanksgiving. I don't know what happened, but I knew it was coming. Yesterday was the first day I really noticed it. Up until then I had just felt it coming because my throat was being kind of weird, then the sneezing kicked in on Tuesday. Yesterday was more sneezing, plus a sore throat, stuffy and slightly runny nose, headache, plus my whole head just felt pretty blah, and I was tired. I'm breaking down pretty early this time and planning on gargling some salt water and then some mouth wash; I'm already taking Advil, drinking V8 Splash, and making sure to take my daily Women's One a Day vitamin. If only I could have last just a little bit longer. I have to work from 9am-6pm on Black Friday; then I have to work 7am-3pm this Saturday. This is going to be a new experience for me too. New store, new customers, only one register, and I have no idea how crazy this little store is going to get. I know they did double what our plan is, so I'm hoping to hit what they did last year. I just probably needed to have another person help out with closing, but I'm already over on my payroll this week just covering Friday and Saturday, so I wasn't about to keep on going. I'll be under by a few hours next week though, so that should make up for me being over this week. On the bright side... I've got a Nintendo Wii! Hurray! We went up to Walmart on the 18th at about 10:30pm. Didn't quite expect that people had been waiting in line for the Wii since the 17th. So we didn't get it at Walmart like we were planning. Sean got up at 4am on the 19th and got there about 4:30 and stood outside of Circuit City to get one. Might I add that it was in the 30's that morning and they didn't open until 10am. He got a voucher, the first one, and so he got a Wii, an extra remote and nunchuck, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, and Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz. Zelda has apparently been selling almost one for one with how many Wii's have been sold. Go Zelda! It's my favorite game, and I'm enjoying the new motion involved with it. I'm also enjoying some Wii Sports, at least the bowling. I'm a bowler though. Archives |
