December 2005
December 18, 2005 |Time| 12:15 AM |Sound| heater running |Habit| being on the computer |Feel| tired and hungry |Think| I need to make a new layout When I got to the mall at 1:45pm, the parking lot was packed. There were at least 10 cars parked in the grass. I really didn't want to park in the grass, so I circled around hoping to find something. People were leaving the mall and going to their cars, so I slowly drove behind them trying to figure out where they were parked, and then hurried and got behind them to take their spot. This whole circling and all took 5 minutes; this was exactly the reason I left a little bit earlier for work. Knowing how crazy the parking lot was, I knew the store was going to be crazy. It didn't seem so bad when I first walked in, but then I got back to the registers. Let me just say that we had our day made by 5pm and we were open until 10pm. Luckily it slowed down around 6 so we were able to clean up the huge mess throughout the store. I went over to the damn jean wall and sat on the floor and refolded and straightened it out. I'll never understand how people can make and leave the messes that they do in stores. I'd hate to see their houses... I got home at 11pm and had planned on eating and going to bed. Then I came on the computer to check some things, and one thing led to another. This resulted in me then fixing a page on my site, looking through some graphics on google, and now blogging. And here I am at 12:25 and I'm yawning like crazy and hungry, but thinking I may just skip dinner and go to bed. I bet I don't even hear Sean's alarm at 5am. I've already got mine set for 8, which is about what time I got up on Saturday. I keep wanting to say today, but now it's past 12 so it's yesterday. Ones day really continues until they go to bed, so I suppose I'd be alright saying today. Anyway, today/Sunday Sean's parents are taking us to eat at Longhorn Steak House to celebrate Sean graduating from college. Hopefully Sean won't be any worse tomorrow so he can enjoy his meal. He had the flu, the was fine. Then I got sick, and was fine. Now he's got a cold. Of course he got sick from being around this one lady he works with. Hopefully we're done with the sick cycle and neither of us will have anything else for a while. I just hope he feels better. December 15, 2005 |Time| 6:18 PM |Sound| Everybody Loves Raymond |Habit| waiting to eat |Feel| hungry |Think| I should have gotten more points for Perfect Dark Yesterday Sean and I went and saw The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. I kind of wish I had read the book before I went and saw it, maybe it would have been better. I remember liking the story when I read it in elementry school. The movie was just kind of there though. It was slightly boring, and the actors who played the two youngest kids weren't very good and were annoying. I have all of the books to the series, and I've only every read the first two. I'd like to go through and read the rest to see what all happens. I don't know, but it just wasn't really how I thought it was going to be. Then again, what the hell do I remember about it since it was elementry school. I finally finished Perfect Dark: Zero on agent today. I thought I had more missions left than I did, but when I went to go play it, I was on the last one. Then of course I had my shotgun and superdragon with me, so I had to restart the level and get the damn plasma gun. I went and looked to see how many points I got for getting the achievement for beating it on agent, and it was only 10. I find that quite disappointing, especially since I've gotten 10 points for completing some stupid thing on the gem game. 10 points... I was thinking at the very least 30. I guess they don't want to give too many out since they are so many different achievements. Not that we're going to get even half seeing as some are play 1000 of this and do 1000 of that. Plus there are the sniper kills, which I don't normally snipe people in that game. Oh well, it's not about the points, but it is nice to know we've unlocked achievements. Sean and I have already given each other our Christmas presents (December 7)... I know, but we already had most of our gifts to begin with. His main one was the xbox 360, which was partially for me, and my main gift was my domain and my 3 year hosting. Then I also bought him a new Snoopy hugging Woodstock plush where Snoopy is wearing a red winter hat. We have an inside joke thing with Snoopy, and I got him a Snoopy hugging Woodstock last year for Christmas, and then a little love bandit Snoopy for Valentine's day, so it's kind of my thing to give him. They're all so cute too! Anyway, he gave me The Legend of Zelda: The Complete Animated Series! I didn't even know there was such a thing. He also got me Yoshi's Island for Super Nintendo. It's one of my favorite SNES games and I've been wanting it for a long time now. Sean always knows just what to get me. He's so sweet. December 13, 2005 |Time| 7:09 PM |Sound| Ocean's Twelve |Habit| putting things off 'til the last minute |Feel| very full |Think| I really need to go make out my Christmas cards So our district manager was at our store today. Shortly after he arrived, I went up to the front of the store to greet him. He said the store looked good, and he seemed like he was in a good mood. He then went to lunch with my store manager, so I didn't have to be around him. When they came back to the store, they were outside looking at the display windows and whatnot, and then he went back into the office to work on something things and was on the phone. He was still on the phone when I left at 3. I was so happy I didn't really have to be around him. Plus my manager said that he didn't have anything negative to say at all. Hopefully everything went well. When I got home I had to wrap up presents for Chrissy, Josh, and my dad. I had the perfect size box to put all of the gifts in too. I saw it at work and just snatched it up and took it home because I knew it'd be the right size. Took a little while to wrap them though. I used to be a lot better at wrapping gifts, but it's been a few years since I've really had to do it. Gift bags are always nice and easy (plus cute!) to use. My sister had two gifts, my dad had two, Josh had one, and then I also included the Christmas card for my parents. Now, I already got something small for both my mom and sister. I got them both a year subscription to Taste of Home magazine. However, they misspelled my name when they wrote who it was from. And they didn't even do the same typo. My last name was missing an e on Chrissy's, and my first name had an extra n on my mom's. How crazy is that. I think it puts that it is from me on every one they get too. I was pissed that it happened, but it's not like they couldn't figure it out, so I guess at least they didn't completely mess it up. December 6, 2005 |Time| 11:45 AM |Sound| Kitty playing |Habit| waking up early when I don't have to |Feel| kind of hungry seeing as I haven't eaten yet |Think| I'd like to play some Perfect Dark: Zero So, Sean has the flu, and that sucks. He had it last year as well. My store manager had it just last week too. I'm not really sure why I haven't gotten it yet. I mean, I'm glad I don't have the flu, I just don't know how I managed to get by it. Last year was because I had a cold or something whenever Sean had the flu, so that one is already understandable. I wouldn't mind missing work for a day or two though. With my luck though I'd have two days off in a row and that's when I'd get sick. We'll see if I get anything else this year. I'm addicted to Perfect Dark: Zero. The missions are fun, but online play is really what it's all about. Any time I get an hour or so free, I basically go play online. Now if only I was a little bit better... I am improving though. Plus I kick some ass when playing with close combat weapons. Nothing like slicing people up with the viblade. Our district manager is coming to our store on December 13. And guess what... lucky me gets to work that day. I met him the last time he was at our store, and am in no hurry to be around him again. He's only going to make complaints about me like he always does. If I'm so bad, why not just fire me? Hell, on my 6 month evaluation, he told my store manager what to write down, and I got "does not meet" on every single thing. Why bother keeping me there if I don't even meet their fucking standards? And why would a district manager who's only ever met me once do my evaluation anyway? He's not around me when I'm working; he has no idea how I am at all. He's an ass. Archives |
